Submission Guidelines
Your story matters. Let’s bring it to life, the right way.
Carrick Press is a vanity press and design studio, which means you remain in creative control—while we handle the polish, packaging, and publishing support.
We work with authors of fiction, memoir, poetry, and select nonfiction genres. Our process is collaborative, transparent, and designed to give your book the professional treatment it deserves.
What We’re Looking For
We accept manuscripts at all stages, but we expect:
A complete first draft (no partial submissions)
A clear idea of your goals (traditional-looking release? quirky niche? limited run?)
A readiness to invest in your own success
We Accept:
Novels (all genres except extreme hate or gratuitous violence)
Short story collections
Memoirs and autobiographical works
Poetry manuscripts
Nonfiction (creative, self-help, hybrid)
If your project falls outside these, feel free to reach out first—we’re open to surprises.
We Do Not Accept:
AI-generated books
Plagiarized work
Erotica or sexually explicit material targeting minors
Anything promoting hate, racism, or harmful ideology
